How we protect your story
Some of what you share here is the most personal thing you'll ever write down. Here's exactly how we handle it.
You control who sees your profile.
When you set up your profile, you'll see a simple private toggle. It doesn't say much because it doesn't need to: switch it on and your profile is private, enforced at the database level, not just hidden in the app. We verified this ourselves: a private profile's story, birth date, and location cannot be read by anyone but you and people you've accepted as friends, even through a direct request to our servers.
Your data is encrypted, always.
Everything you write is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (AES-256), on every plan, with no configuration needed on our end to turn it on. This is not a setting we could forget to enable.
We never sell your data.
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not ever. Timeglyph makes money from people choosing to use it, not from what we know about them.
